Bellefontaine resident Michael E. Yoder has announced he is seeking re-election to the office of Logan County Commissioner.

A lifelong resident of the county, Yoder brings decades of experience in local government and public service.

Yoder began his political journey as a youth delegate for Ronald Reagan, attending the Republican National Conventions in 1980 in Detroit and 1984 in Dallas.

He went on to serve as Bellefontaine City Auditor, winning the position three times, and was elected Logan County Auditor six times.

He currently serves as one of three Logan County Commissioners.

Yoder has held several leadership positions throughout his career.

He was twice elected President of the County Auditors’ Association of Ohio — a distinction no other member has achieved in more than 150 years.

He served as President of the Logan County Commissioners in 2024 and 2025 and has been named President of the Logan, Union, Champaign (LUC) Planning Commission for 2026.

His professional achievements have been recognized statewide.

In 2006, Yoder received the Richard J. Makowski Award from the County Auditors’ Association of Ohio, honoring him as Outstanding County Auditor of the Year.

In addition to his public service, Yoder is an active member of Calvary Baptist Church, where he continues to serve with dedication.
