Baseball: Tigers and Lakers Win Tuesday

The West Liberty-Salem Tigers defeated Northeastern 7-1 on Tuesday night.

Jake Evans got the win for the Tigers today.

He pitched six strong innings, striking out 11 batters.

The Tigers are now 11-3 on the season and play at Triad tomorrow.

 

Bellefontaine drops game to Kenton Ridge 5-3.

Owen Larison stepped on the bump for the Chiefs going the complete game giving up 5 hits and only allowing 1 earned run.

Riley Neer went 1-2 at the plate with 2 RBIs and Cayleb Overmann led the team with 2 hits.

Chiefs record falls to 10-5 on the year.

They will host London tomorrow at home starting at 5:15.

 

The Lakers defeated Northwestern 11-3.

Burke Lillard drew a walk, scoring one run, Tyler Tidwell singled, scoring two runs, Dawson Finfrock drew a walk, scoring one run and he lined out, scoring another run, an error scored a run and Evan Manley drew a walk, scoring one run.

Madden Lillard earned the win for the Lake.

He allowed two hits and two runs over two innings, striking out one and walking none.

Thomas Elliott pitched five innings in relief for the Lakers.

He allowed two hits and one run while striking out two and walking none.

The Lakers accumulated ten hits in the game.

Finfrock, the number seven hitter, led the way with three runs batted in.

The Lakers will play again Wednesday and Benjamin Logan.

 

North Union won against Urbana 5-4.
