Bellefontaine, Riverside, Benjamin Logan Middle School volleyball in action on Monday

Several area middle school volleyball teams were in action Monday, with Bellefontaine, Riverside and Benjamin Logan all taking the court.

London 2, Bellefontaine 1 — 7th Grade

The Bellefontaine seventh-grade Chiefs fell to London in three sets, 26-28, 25-20 and 12-25.

Bexley Daring led the Chiefs with 19 digs and three aces.

Devyn Hogan finished with 12 digs, five kills, one block, six assists and three aces, while Emma Layman added six digs, four kills, five assists and three aces.

Addy Harden had one kill and four aces, while Harper Oakley added two kills.

Lariah Valencia recorded eight digs, while Brooklyn Mosley had three, Miley McKirahan had two and Eliza Blinn had one.

Bellefontaine 2, London 0 — 8th Grade

The Bellefontaine eighth-grade Chiefs picked up a two-set victory over London, 25-15 and 25-20.

Skylar Phan led the Chiefs with 19 digs and five aces.

Arianna Rumer had 13 digs, six kills, five assists and three aces, while Evie Schmidt added four digs, seven assists and seven aces.

Braelynn Neer finished with two digs, five kills, one assist and one ace.

Alivia Rogan had six digs, one kill and one ace, while Myra Varner added one dig and two kills.

Marissa Oaks recorded seven digs, Mia Regula had two digs, and Charley Frazier had two digs and one ace.

Bellefontaine improves to 12-6 and will travel to Kenton Tuesday.

Milton Union 2, Riverside 0 — 8th Grade

Riverside hosted Milton Union in its final match before tournament play, with the eighth-grade Pirates falling 25-18 and 25-22.

Paloma Quixan led Riverside with 10 points and seven aces.

Bella Shultz finished with eight points, five aces, one dig and one tip, while Kinsley Crawford had seven points, six aces and one kill.

Avery Wheeler added one point, one ace and one block, while Ruth Morrison had one point and one tip. Bella Beaty also added one point.

Riverside will begin tournament play Thursday. The time and location will be announced once the tournament bracket is set.

North Union 2, Benjamin Logan 0 — 7th Grade

The Benjamin Logan seventh-grade Raiders fell to North Union in two sets, 25-9 and 25-10.

North Union 2, Benjamin Logan 1 — 8th Grade

The Benjamin Logan eighth-grade Raiders dropped a three-set match to North Union, 25-18, 22-25 and 25-21.
