Chiefs 12U won the Chieftain Classic over the weekend behind strong pitching and defense as well as timely hitting.
The Chiefs defeated Ohio Baseball Club 9-7 and Tipp City Blaze 6-5 in pool play Friday night.
They defeated Tipp City Blaze 4-3 Saturday night and Urbana Ramjets 11U 8-0 Sunday morning to set up a title game against rival, Miami County Rage.
The Rage scored one run in the bottom of the first.
Chiefs tied the game at one in the top of the fourth.
Rage reclaimed the lead on a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth.
Chiefs rallied to score 2 runs in their last at-bat to win the title 3-2.
