All local CBC soccer teams were in action Monday


Area CBC soccer teams were in action Monday evening.

The Bellefontaine varsity girls’ team lost to Northwestern 6-1.

Parker Penhorwood scored the lone Chieftain goal.

Lexi Robinson recorded 6 saves.

Bellefontaine is now 4-3.

The Lady Chiefs will travel to take on undefeated West Liberty-Salem Saturday at 11 a.m.

The Bellefontaine varsity boys fell to Northwestern 3-1.

Scoring for the Chiefs was Dakota Shell.

Bellefontaine falls to 1-6-1 on the season.

The Chiefs will host Kenton Ridge on Monday at 5:30 p.m.

The Benjamin Logan varsity girls’ lost to Jonathan Alder 2-0.

Allie Henault had 10 saves in the game.

The Lady Raiders are now 1-5-2.

Benjamin Logan plays Urbana on Monday.

The Benjamin Logan varsity boys’ game with Jonathan Alder ended in a scoreless tie.

Jacob Roth made 10 saves for the Raiders.

Benjamin Logan is now 4-2-2 and 1-0-2 in CBC play.

“Jonathan Alter is a very good soccer team and one of the top teams we have seen this year and really we were probably fortunate not to give up a goal in that first half,” said head coach Jamie Hughes. “Junior Jacob Roth made several really nice plays to keep them off the board. The second half, however, we really got things turned around by applying pressure on them and I thought we were pretty unfortunate not to score ourselves.”

The Raiders will travel to play Urbana on Monday at 7 p.m.

Graham’s varsity girls tied Tecumseh at 1.

For the Lady Falcons, Rosey Dunham scored the lone goal.

Graham is now 4-1-1.

The Lady Falcons will host Indian Lake Monday.

The Graham varsity boys lost to Tecumseh 6-0.

The Falcons are 1-3-1

The Indian Lake varsity girls tied Kenton Ridge 3-3.

For the Lady Lakers, Kaitlyn Shaner netted 2 goals and Callie Burba had one.

Reece Martin tallied 2 assists.

Defensively, Savannah Hill had 15 saves.

Indian Lake is now 0-3-2.

The Indian Lake varsity boys fell on the road to Kenton Ridge 6-3.

For the Lakers Reece Kimmel, Cole McNeal, and Avery Pequignot scored goals.

Defensively, Gabe Sheppard recorded 3 saves.

Indian Lake is now 4-4.

The Lakers travel to Wapakoneta Thursday.

The Urbana varsity girls defeated London 5-1.

For the Lady Hillclimbers, Peyton Mounce scored 4 goals and Morgan Deskins tallied one.

Paige Arnett, Claire Keely, and Mounce each had an assist.

Defensively, Lilly Talebi recorded 3 saves.

Urbana improves to 5-1-1.

The Lady Hillclimbers will host Indian Lake Wednesday in a make-up game at 6 p.m.

Urbana’s varsity boys defeated London 4-1.

The Hillclimbers improve to 5-1.

Urbana will host Milton Union Saturday at 10 a.m.
