Area Boys Moving on to State Bowling Tournament

The Benjamin Logan Boys Varsity Bowling Team traveled to Beaver-Vu Bowl in Beavercreek to compete in the D2 District Tournament on Wednesday.

Benjamin Logan bowled 3 conventional games and 6 baker games with the top 4 teams advancing to the State Tournament.

Leading the Raiders was Jarrett Buckenroth with games of 265, 201, and 218 for a 684 series.

Buckenroth also was runner-up on the All-Tournament Team with his 684 Series which would have automatically qualified him for State Tournament had the team not qualified.

Next was Landon Stoodt with games of 216, 199, and 182 for a 597 series, Daven Williams with games of 210, 161, and 194 for a 571 series, Nate Davis with games of 187, 190, and 197 for a 568 series and Caleb Knight with games of 208, 197, and 157 for a 562 series.

Ben Logan finished with a total pinfall of 4008 to capture fourth place in the OHSAA D2 District Championship out of 24 teams.

Up next for the boys’ bowling Team is the D2 State Tournament that will be held at HP Lanes, 2012 Innis Road in Columbus on Friday, March 1st.

Doors open at 9:00 AM with qualifying rounds beginning at 10:45 AM.

The Riverside boys finished 11th at the district tournament Wednesday.

Cooper Crouch finished 13th overall and was the highest-finishing freshman.

Sam King finished 8th overall qualifying him for the State tournament as an individual.

This is King’s second trip to the state tournament as an individual.

Individually, Indian Lake’s Chase McMillen punched his ticket to the state tournament Wednesday.

He finished third individually at Districts, qualifying him to move on.
