Several area cross-country teams competed on Saturday, September 19, at the Triad XC Invitational, Eaton Invitational, Cedarville University Friendship XC Invitational, Troy Twilight Invite and Celtic Clash at Dublin Jerome.
Eaton Invitational
INDIAN LAKE
High School Boys
Nathan White led the Indian Lake boys with an 18th-place finish in 18:31.2.
Hayden Kuhlke placed 24th in 18:55.0, recording a personal record.
Dalton Young finished 79th in 22:49.0.
High School Girls
The Indian Lake girls finished fourth with 95 points.
Laura Metzger led the Lakers with a 13th-place finish in 22:30.9.
Alicia Brielmaier placed 23rd in 23:23.3, followed by Kayleigh Taylor in 27th at 23:45.5.
Haley Metzger finished 36th in 25:06.7, while Abby Arnett placed 41st in 25:46.6.
The Lakers will race next week at Ohio Caverns.
INDIAN LAKE MIDDLE SCHOOL
The Indian Lake Middle School cross country teams competed Saturday at the Eaton Invitational.
Girls
Serenity Albert led the Lakers with an 85th-place finish in 17:17.
Taylor Alltop finished 117th in 19:40, followed by Raelyn Hoge in 125th at 20:40 and Aubrey Hoffman in 126th at 20:41.
Kenzi Arnett placed 132nd in 21:47, while Cheyenne Pender finished 139th in 22:55.
Rozalyn Lane was 150th in 26:23, followed by Adalyn James in 152nd at 26:55 in her first race of the season.
Boys
Isaac King led the Lakers with a 74th-place finish in 14:08, recording a personal record.
Hayden Thompson finished 78th in 14:16, followed by Kole Gilliam in 80th at 14:25, also recording a personal record.
Lincoln Nielsen placed 130th in 16:12 with a personal record.
Owen Flory finished 152nd in 17:32, followed by Carter Flory in 155th at 17:52.
Lincoln Halterman was 158th in 17:59, while Gunner Rogers finished 175th in 21:26.
Youth Run
Indian Lake Middle School cross country manager Kale Freeman also competed in the one-mile fun run, finishing fifth in 6:36 and earning a medal while recording a new personal record.
The Lakers will race again next Saturday at the Ohio Caverns Invitational in West Liberty.

TRIAD
High School Boys
The Triad boys finished second with 63 points.
Henry Beaverson led the Cardinals with a fifth-place finish in 18:21.6, followed by Jacob Johnson in seventh at 18:37.9.
Daniel Ishida-Garwood placed 17th in 19:38.1, while Noah Humphrey finished 22nd in 20:15.6.
Hayden Williams was 29th in 21:11.7, followed by Chris May in 41st at 23:15.8 and Alex McComas in 54th at 25:47.3.
High School Girls
Aubrey Johnson led the Triad girls with a fifth-place finish in 21:53.4.
BENJAMIN LOGAN
High School Boys
The Benjamin Logan boys finished third with 85 points.
Greyson Butler led the Raiders with a 12th-place finish in 18:56.4.
Oliver Morse placed 18th in 19:47.1, followed by Gavin Jordan in 21st at 20:15.0.
Cason Lacher finished 27th in 20:55.0, while Maxwell Troth was 28th in 20:57.0.

Lucy Wenger led the Raiders with a 14th-place finish in 24:21.1.

The Benjamin Logan Middle School cross country teams competed Saturday morning at the Triad Cross Country Invitational.
Boys
The Raiders won the team championship.
Seventh grader Braydon Laird led Benjamin Logan with a fourth-place finish and a new personal record.
Kolt Hays, Waylon Damron and Max Schoepfle also recorded personal records, while Carlin Curtis rounded out the team finishers.
Girls
The Benjamin Logan girls finished second as a team.
Eighth grader Pippa Zvansky led the Raiders with an impressive first-place overall finish.
Payton Courtney, Paige Courtney, Mia Cook, Avah Berry, Jediah Tingley, Danyka Iiams, Hope Williams, Haedyn Hinkle, Cassia Varney, Ava Nangle, Otylia Dennis and Alexis Gootee also competed for Benjamin Logan.
Hinkle, Varney, Nangle and Dennis each recorded new personal records.
URBANA
High School Boys
The Urbana boys finished fourth with 91 points.
Levi Zachrich led the Hillclimbers with an 11th-place finish in 18:54.6, followed by Landon McKellop in 13th at 19:06.1.
Anthony Keeran finished 24th in 20:28.4, while Henry Chapman placed 31st in 21:25.7.
Alex McCrae was 33rd in 21:35.7, followed by Sawyer Risner in 36th at 21:58.8 and Landon McKenzie in 37th at 21:59.6.
High School Girls
The Urbana girls finished second with 53 points.
Hazel Lightle led the Hillclimbers with a second-place finish in 21:11.9.
Avery Smith finished fourth in 21:48.6, followed by Sara Hildebrand in 12th at 23:55.1.
Meghan Hoskins placed 22nd in 25:31.6, while Zaylor Rogan finished 31st in 27:25.4.

Oliver Grandstaff led the Chiefs with a 21st-place finish in 13:08.0.
Jackson Maus placed 56th in 13:51.9, followed by Will Myers in 59th at 13:52.8.
Brenden Murray finished 71st in 14:02.4, while Jake Moreland was 79th in 14:05.5.
Aiden Fout placed 114th in 14:28.0, followed by Landon Gerwels in 172nd at 15:18.9.

The Calvary Christian boys finished 23rd with 497 points.
Adly Knox led the Spartans with a 50th-place finish in 13:47.2.

Girls
The Bellefontaine Middle School girls made school history Saturday, becoming the first Bellefontaine team to bring home a team award from the Celtic Clash.
The Chiefs finished second out of 23 teams in a field of 127 runners while competing on a mud-covered course.
Emma Smith led Bellefontaine with a third-place finish in 13:41, while Kylie Lowe placed seventh in 14:02. Both runners earned medals.
Miley McKirahan finished 17th in 14:36, followed by Willow Rupp in 30th at 15:33.
Danica Engle placed 42nd in 16:23 and recorded a personal record.
Emily Escue finished 67th in 17:23, while Rosie Moreland placed 125th in 28:19.
The Chiefs will compete next Saturday at Ohio Caverns.
Boys
The Bellefontaine Middle School boys finished tied for 11th out of 22 teams, winning the tiebreaker based on their sixth runner.
The race featured 160 runners, with Camden Vollrath leading the Chiefs with a 13th-place finish in 12:53 and earning a medal.
Anthony Carter placed 32nd in 14:04, while Owen Smith finished 58th in 14:42 after running the majority of the race with one shoe after losing the other in the mud.
Daniel Campbell finished 118th in 16:30, followed by Jayden Lambert in 127th at 17:06.
Malek Alhaj placed 128th in 17:08 and helped Bellefontaine win the team tiebreaker.
The Chiefs will also compete next Saturday at Ohio Caverns.
Youth Run
Emmett Lowe represented Bellefontaine in the two-mile Celtic Clash Youth Run.
Lowe placed sixth out of 64 runners in 13:34, earning a medal while recording a personal-best time.
WEST LIBERTY-SALEM MIDDLE SCHOOL
Girls
The West Liberty-Salem girls won the team championship, finishing first out of 13 teams with 33 points.
Springboro finished second with 74 points, followed by Cedarville with 102.
Nika Matthews led the Big Orange with a second-place finish in 12:14.
Elayna Hoover placed fifth in 12:38, followed by Lilly Woodruff in seventh at 13:00.1 and Iris Meister in eighth at 13:00.4.
Paisley Strapp finished 12th in 13:35, while Neema Smucker placed 20th in 14:13.
Ellie Louth finished 32nd in 14:50 and recorded a personal record.
Kynslie McIntosh placed 74th in 16:55.
The girls competed in a field of 157 runners.

The West Liberty-Salem boys finished second out of 16 teams with 66 points, just behind Dayton Christian’s 62 points.
Cincinnati Trailblazer finished third with 88 points.
Caizen Anders led the Big Orange with a fourth-place finish in 11:31.
Archer Anane-Sefah placed 10th in 11:48, followed by Joel Hoover in 16th at 12:08 and Harrison Sutherin in 19th at 12:13.
Ozzy Anders finished 22nd in 12:17, while Cooper Thompson placed 24th in 12:19.
Isaac Falloon finished 26th in 12:25 and recorded a personal record.
Braxton Louden placed 39th in 12:54.
Jackson Barth finished 66th in 13:46.2, followed by Jack Troyer in 67th at 13:46.4.
Jett Ziegler placed 70th in 13:48.1 and recorded a personal record, while Mason Hinds finished 71st in 13:48.5.
