The Bellefontaine Chiefs 12U baseball team finished runner-up at the Ready to Rake Tournament in Findlay over the weekend.
In their first game, the Chiefs rolled past Premier Evans 12U with a 13-3 win.
Brentlee Bach opened the scoring with a bases-clearing double, while JuJu Anderson started on the mound, allowing three hits and three runs.
Palmer closed the game, giving up no runs.
Next, the Chiefs topped the Mason Bulldogs 12U, 6-1, to advance to the championship.
Palmer led at the plate with a double, while Jax Fleming pitched four solid innings, giving up just one run.
Palmer finished on the mound, again holding the opponent scoreless.
In the championship game, the Chiefs fell to the Barnstormers 12U, 6-3.
Palmer sparked the offense with a triple in the third inning.
Tovan Benton Jr. pitched five innings, giving up four hits and three runs.
The Chiefs will be back in action this weekend as they host the 2nd Annual Mad River RBI Tournament in Bellefontaine.
