Over the weekend, the Bellefontaine High School girls bowling team traveled to Poelking South in Centerville for the Boro Roll-Off Tournament.
After three regular games and four baker games, Bellefontaine was in 4th place, but they came back strong to win.
They played the following matches:
- Against Greenon: Won 3-0 (193-140, 154-192, 214-165)
- Against Fairbanks: Won 3-0 (191-167, 166-150)
- Against Celina: Won 3-0 (172-171, 152-173, 233-196)
Bellefontaine’s win over Celina was especially sweet after losing to them by just 27 pins in a previous tournament.
Top Performers:
- Gracie Hood: Scored 237, 189, 215 for a total of 641 and was named to the All-Tournament Team.
- Haylee Yelton: Scored 153, 191, 215 for a total of 559, earning 8th place.
- Nevaeh LaFollette: Scored 188, 150, 141 for a total of 479.
- Isabelle Gunnett: Scored 159, 223.
- Chloe Heminger: Scored 165.
The Benjamin Logan boys bowling team won the Muskingum University High School Invitational Tournament for the second year in a row.
In the championship round, the team beat:
- Centerville
- Jonathan Alder
- Reynoldsburg
The team qualified 7th but played their best in the finals, claiming the championship.
While exact scores aren’t listed, their overall performance was impressive.
