Boys Basketball Teams in Action

The Bellefontaine Boys Basketball team faced a tough loss to Marysville on Tuesday night, falling 71-43 in a non-league matchup.

CJ Butler led the Chieftains with 12 points, while Jair Mundy added 11 points.

Jacob Salyer contributed 10 rebounds in the effort.

The Chieftains will return to the court next Friday, December 13th, to take on CBC rival Urbana at home.

Meanwhile, the Benjamin Logan Raiders hosted Riverside on Tuesday night but were defeated 74-59.

Camden Spriggs led the Raiders with 19 points, while Maddox Vermillion added 17 and Cayden Brown scored 9 points.

The Raiders will look to bounce back when they travel to Northwestern for a game on Friday night.

For the Pirates: Jaxon Woods led the way with 21 points, 12 rebounds, and 2 steals, Gavin Osborne scored 19 points with 6 rebounds and 2 steals, Landon Purtee added 10 points, 3 assists, and 2 steals, and Brody Osborne contributed 10 points, 5 assists, and 9 rebounds.

In JV action, the Raiders secured a 51-34 win against Riverside.

Diesel Baughman had an impressive game, scoring 23 points, while Adam Tinsman contributed 19 points to the victory.

Justin Mazariegos led the Riverside team with 11 points and 10 rebounds, Camden Shoe scored 6 points and had 2 steals, while Hayden McCully added 6 points and 5 rebounds.

The Freshman Raiders also emerged victorious, defeating Riverside 33-15.

Dylan Tracey led the Freshman team with 8 points, while Caiden Powell added 6 points.

Riverside’s Aiden Fout scored 4 points and grabbed 7 rebounds, while Gabe Steineman added 4 points and 6 rebounds, and Laithen Snyder contributed 3 points and 3 steals.
