Bellefontaine and Indian Lake Volleyball Teams Shine in Final Regular Season Matches

The Bellefontaine volleyball team celebrated its senior players—Ava Reeves, Ava Campbell, Reagan Standley, and Taylor Banta—before their final home match of the season against London.

In a hard-fought contest, the Chiefs fell to London in a nail-biting five sets: 25-20, 23-25, 25-18, 22-25, 13-15.

Taylor Banta led the charge with an impressive performance, recording 15 kills, 18 digs, and a solo block, while also going 17/18 from the service line with one ace.

Ava Reeves contributed significantly with 24 digs, and Reagan Standley excelled in serving, finishing 13/14 with 8 digs. Ava Campbell added 9 digs and 2 aces, showcasing the talent of the senior class.

Kelsie Snapp also had a standout game, posting 14 kills, 34 digs, and going 20/20 serving with 5 aces and 2 blocks. Madi Zedeker directed the offense with 46 assists and 13 digs, serving 28/29 with one ace.

The Chiefs concluded their regular season with a solid record of 15-6 and will begin tournament play on October 19 against the Falcons from Graham.

 

Meanwhile, Indian Lake delivered a dominant performance against Northwestern, winning in straight sets: 25-16, 25-21, 25-19.

Senior Kenzie Dixon was a standout, recording 13 kills, and 8 digs, and excelling in both serve receive and serving.

Fellow senior Halle Roby contributed with 4 kills, 10 digs, and 23 assists, going 10/11 from the service line with 2 aces.

Additional strong performances came from Cami Bailey, who was perfect in serving at 15/15 with 2 aces, and Addyson Roby, who tallied 11 digs and 10 assists.

With this win, the Lakers improved their record to 18-3 overall and 8-1 in the CBC, wrapping up their regular season with a match against Graham.

 

The junior varsity teams also had notable outcomes, with Bellefontaine’s Red Chiefs defeating London and Indian Lake’s JV team beating Northwestern in two sets.

As both schools prepare for the postseason, their strong finishes signal exciting challenges ahead.
