Bellefontaine, Benjamin Logan, and Riverside soar in softball victories

Bellefontaine Varsity Chieftains cruised to a 14-4 victory over Shawnee on Tuesday, led by Kassi Prine at the plate.

Prine went 3-for-4, driving in two RBIs.

The Chieftains had eight runs in the third inning, from Chloe Heminger, Carissa Cozad, Ava Watson, and Laila Butler.

Prine also pitched five solid innings, allowing four runs on five hits while striking out three.

Bellefontaine’s offense racked up 16 hits and drew five walks.

The Chieftains will host Benjamin Logan on Wednesday.

The Benjamin Logan Varsity Raiders defeated London 10-3 to open conference play.

Rylan Norviel led the offense with two hits and an RBI, while Keeli Rostorfer contributed two RBIs and two runs.

Chloe Crumm dominated in the circle, throwing all seven innings and striking out 15 batters.

The Raiders improved to 3-1 overall and 1-0 in the conference.

They will travel to Bellefontaine for their next game on Wednesday.

Riverside Varsity Pirates rolled past Bethel with a dominant 14-0 win.

Aubree Huston was unstoppable, collecting four hits, including a solo home run in the fifth inning.

Keira Manahan earned the win in the circle, throwing six shutout innings with five strikeouts.

Riverside’s offense produced 12 hits, and Taylor Dillon and Jayden Hoffer each drove in three RBIs.

The Pirates stole four bases in the game.

Riverside will face Troy Christian next Tuesday.
