Both the Bellefontaine boys’ and girls’ bowling teams were in action Wednesday.
The Lady Chiefs beat Kenton Ridge 2,479 – 2,175.
Senior, and Team Captain, Kayla Watkins led Bellefontaine with a 480 series (214, 266), setting a new school record. The previous two-game record was a 467 bowled in 2008 by Allyson Greenbaum.
Also for the Chiefs, Gracie Hood fired a 366 series (167, 199), Chloe Heminger had a 346 series (171, 175), Aubrey Hudson rolled a 196 game along with a 345 series, and Leyla Johnson added a 185 game.
Bellefontaine improves to 11-1.
In the JV contest, the Chiefs won 2,064 – 1,518.
Bellefontaine was led by Nevaeh LaFollette a 308 series and a 171 game, Isabelle Gunnett rolled a 292 series and a 159 game, Katie Crabill tallied a 285 series and a 150 game, Haylee Rutherford recorded a 283 series and a 162 game, Kyrah Moon added a 158 game.
The Lady Chiefs will be back at it Friday against Jonathan Alder at Plain City Lanes.
The Bellefontaine varsity boys lost to KR 2,586 – 2,307.
Eli Stone led the Chiefs with a 234, Garrett Brede rolled a 221, Drake Argabright fired a 205, and Alex Williams tallied a 196.
Bellefontaine won the JV game.
For the Chiefs, Aiden Mai rolled a 325 series (167, 158), Jacob Lynch recorded a 291 series (141, 150), and Colton Lane tallied his personal high with a 167 game.
Bellefontaine will take on Jonathan Alder Friday at Plain City Lanes.
