A full slate of boys basketball action took place Friday night across the area, with Bellefontaine earning a strong road win, Benjamin Logan coming up just short in a tight finish, and Calvary Christian opening its season against a tough Parkway squad. Here’s a look at how each team performed.
Bellefontaine 59, Kenton 42
The Bellefontaine Chieftains earned a strong 59–42 road victory over Kenton on Friday night in non-conference play.
Grayson Lotts powered the Chiefs with 21 points, while Jair Mundy added 16, and CJ Butler chipped in 9.
In the JV game, Bellefontaine cruised to a 55–17 win. Sutton Daring led all scorers with 17 points.
The Chiefs return to action Monday when they host Tecumseh in a CBC matchup.
Temple Christian 46, Benjamin Logan 44
Benjamin Logan dropped a tough one on the road Friday, falling 46–44 to Temple Christian in a close matchup. Despite the loss, the Raiders put together a strong team effort and came up just short in the final minutes.

The JV Raiders earned a win, defeating Temple Christian 47–38. Gabe Predmore scored 11 points, and Owen Stratton added 9.
Parkway 58, Calvary Christian 37
Calvary Christian opened its boys basketball season Friday against Parkway High School.
In the JV contest, the Spartans fell 66–32, with Kole Gantz scoring 15 points and Seth Palmer adding 6.
The varsity team also dropped its opener, losing 58–37. Braylon Dunson led the Spartans with 14 points and 3 rebounds, while Evan Schmidt finished with 8 points and 8 rebounds.
Calvary Christian travels to Urbana on Monday for its next matchup.
