The hardwood was busy across the region this weekend as area teams hit the floor for a full slate of boys and girls basketball action.

AREA BASKETBALL ROUNDUP

BELLEFONTAINE BOYS BASKETBALL

Bellefontaine 55, Sidney 49

Bellefontaine earned a hard-fought non-league road victory at Sidney, knocking off the Yellow Jackets 55–49. The Chiefs improve to 7-8 on the season.

Four Chiefs scored in double figures:

  • Patrick Stolly — 15 points, 11 rebounds

  • CJ Butler — 12 points

  • Jair Mundy — 11 points, 4 assists

  • Grayson Lotts — 10 points

JV — Sidney 40, Bellefontaine 39
Sutton Daring and Spencer Stolly scored 14 points each.

Freshmen — Sidney 45, Bellefontaine 35
Zavion Perez led the Chiefs with 10 points. Tyrin Johnson added 9.

Bellefontaine returns to action Tuesday night at London in a CBC matchup.

RIVERSIDE VARISTY

Varsity — Arcanum 68, Riverside 32
Brody Orsborne led the Pirates with 10 points. Hayden Sanford finished with 7 points and Gabe Steineman added 5.

LAKER BOYS BASKETBALL

7th Grade — Indian Lake 36, Springfield-Shawnee 26

The Lakers earned a home win behind Ross Tidwell’s 11 points.

Calin Headings drilled three three-pointers, while Logan Kuhlke added 9 points. Kason Taylor scored 3 and grabbed several rebounds. Ian Schwarz and JT Book each finished with 2 points.

SATURDAY GIRLS BASKETBALL

Indian Lake at Graham

Indian Lake 50, Graham 42

The Lakers jumped out to a 19–10 first-quarter lead and held off a Falcons comeback for a CBC road win.

The varsity Lady Raiders played a physical, intense contest but came up short in the final minutes. Benjamin Logan moves to 6-9 on the season.
