Bellefontaine Chiefs 12U go undefeated, crowned Champions at Bomber Tournament

The Bellefontaine Chiefs 12U baseball team played strong this weekend at the Bellefontaine Bomber Tournament and were named tournament champions after winning both of their games on Saturday.

In their first game, the Chiefs beat Lima Locos Express 12U with a score of 10–2.

Tovan Benton hit an RBI single in the first inning to get things started.

In the second inning, Jax Fleming and Brentlee Bach each hit solo home runs.

Jack Fissel, Tovan Benton, Parker Artis, and Brentlee Bach all had multiple hits.

The second game was against the Columbus Cobras 12U-Hutch.

The Chiefs had strong performances at the plate from JuJu Anderson, Korbin Smith, Caleb Palmer, Tovan Benton Jr., Jax Fleming, and Brentlee Bach, who all had multiple hits.

The defense played a clean game, giving up no runs and committing no errors.

The tournament was cut short due to rain, but based on their undefeated record and strong play, the Chiefs were awarded the championship.

The team will be back on the field Tuesday at 6:00 p.m., when they take on the West Liberty-Salem Tigers 12U at Blue Jacket Park.
