In a thrilling Central Buckeye Conference (CBC) clash on Wednesday night, the Bellefontaine Chieftain Middle School 8th grade football team narrowly lost to the Indian Lake Lakers, 32-30.

Running back Cason Regula spearheaded the Chieftains’ offense with two rushing touchdowns, demonstrating his playmaking prowess. Kyrus Cobb also made significant contributions, catching two touchdown passes to keep Bellefontaine in contention. The Chieftains’ offensive line provided strong support, facilitating crucial rushing yards and plays.

Despite Bellefontaine’s efforts, the Lakers managed to hold off the Chieftains in the final quarter, securing the close win.

Chieftain 7th Grade Football Team Triumphs Over Lakers

In a standout performance on the same night, the Bellefontaine Chieftain 7th grade football team defeated the Indian Lake Lakers decisively. The Chieftains maintained control of the game from start to finish, showcasing their dominance on both sides of the ball.

The game’s pivotal moment occurred in the first half when quarterback Ean Fultz connected with Sennett Stolly for the only touchdown pass of the night. This key score gave the Chieftains a lead they maintained throughout the game.

Defensively, Keegan Vanhorn played a crucial role by recovering a fumble deep in the red zone during the fourth quarter. This critical play helped the Chieftains secure the victory and protect their lead.
