Fifty Bellefontaine City Schools middle and high school students volunteered at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Columbus Marathon this year.

Students worked in the finish line area, helping break down boxes, pick up trash and distribute food items to runners following the race.

Volunteers represented the Bellefontaine Middle School cross country team, Bellefontaine High School Envirothon Club, National Honor Society, Interact Club and Quiz Bowl.

Bellefontaine City Schools has sent student volunteers to the Columbus Marathon for more than 10 years, continuing a tradition of community service and support for the annual event.
