Bellefontaine Fights Hard but Comes up Short


Bellefontaine Chieftain Volleyball traveled to North Union Monday, where the Wildcats came out on top 17-25, 20-25, and 21-25.

Taylor Banta led the Chiefs with 18 kills, 7 digs, and was 6/7 serving.

Reagan Standley added 11 digs and was 14/15 serving.

Alexza Clifton had 2 digs, and 2 blocks and was 3/4 serving.

Kelsie Snapp tallied 18 kills, 8 digs, and was 13/14 serving.

Madi Zedeker was 8/8 serving with 29 assists and 10 digs.

Ava Reeves had 5 digs.

Ava Campbell recorded 2 kills and was 7/8 serving.

Kylie Adams had 3 block assists.

The Chiefs fall to 1-3 on the season.


The JV Red Chieftains fought really hard but still fell 1-2 (24-26, 25-20, 22-25)

Kaeleigh Flora led the Chiefs with 10 kills and was 10/10 serving.

Ava Layman chipped in with 5 kills, 15 digs, and 13/13 serving.

Presley Vigansky had 13 digs, 4 kills, 6 aces and 13 assists.

Kylee Boggs recorded 10 assists, and 5 digs and was 17/17 serving.

Jillian Ullom had 7 digs and was 8/9 serving.

Emma Whitaker had 3 kills, 4 digs, and a block.

Zoey Conner and Alexis Varian each ad 2 digs, while Conner also chalked up a solo block.


The JV Black Chieftains came out on top of host North Union

Ava Layman tallied 13 assists, 6 digs, and 5 kills and was 11/11 serving with 2 aces.

Jillian Ullom was 11/12 serving with 4 aces and 8 digs.

Emma Whitaker and Sophia Jacobs each tallied 3 aces, while Jacobs contributed with 3 digs as well.

Kahanna Dixon was 6/7 serving with 4 digs.

Zoey Conner recorded 3 aces, 4 kills, and 6 digs.

Alexis Varian had 1 kill and 2 digs.


The Chiefs are back in action Tuesday at home against Springfield Shawnee.
