Bellefontaine girls 1st; Riverside boys 6th in big bowling matches Saturday

The Bellefontaine varsity girls finished 1st out of 19 teams Saturday at Taeys Valley.

The Lady Chiefs had team scores of 838, 778, and 880. They added baker games of 188, 223, 173, 160, and 215.

Kayla Watkins led Bellefontaine with a 631 series which earned her the 3rd spot on the all-tournament team.

The JV Chiefs won their division, coming in 1st out of 4 teams with a final tally of 2339.

Freshman Isabelle Gunnett had games of 141, 159, and 127 for a 427 series..

Kyrah Moon rolled 135, 116, and 167 for a 418 series.

Both girls made the all-tournament team.

The Riverside varsity boys competed in the Division II State Kick-Off tournament Saturday at HP Lanes in Columbus.

The Pirates finished 6th in the 26-team field, losing to Coldwater in match play.

For Riverside, Zander Crouch threw a 290 game and finished 5th as an individual in the over 150-player field making the All-Tournament team.
