The Bellefontaine bowling teams hosted the Holiday Baker Classic Tuesday at TP Lanes.
The Lady Chiefs won the tournament with 1924 points for 10 baker games: 256, 188, 210, 159, 175, 150, 214, 182, 191, 199.
The 256 game took over the high baker game record by one pin.
The field was cut to 8 teams, then the first team to win two out of three baker games against their opponent moved on.
Bellefontaine bowled Bucyrus in the first match, 213, 213 to 146, 140.
The Lady Chiefs then bowled Troy and won with a 257 game which beat their record by 1 pin again and a 176 game. Troy’s games were 160 and 129.
Finally, Bellefontaine took on Wapakoneta.
The Lady Chiefs shot games of 226 and 236 to Wapak’s 186 and 172.
Bellefontaine averaged 202.81 for the day.
The Riverside varsity girls finished 11th in the tournament.
The Pirate varsity boys won the Holiday Baker Classic.
Riverside led from game one and kept the lead through the whole day, defeating Wapakoneta, Indian Lake, and Washington Courthouse.
