The Bellefontaine girls tennis team came up just short Wednesday, falling to Lima Bath 3-2.
The Chieftains picked up two victories in doubles play. At first doubles, Brown and Rylee Crabtree defeated Downey and Kunkleman 6-1, 6-0.
At second doubles, Vasquez and Arruza defeated Alva and Cheng 6-4, 6-4.
Bellefontaine was unable to pick up a win in singles play. At first singles, Olivia Warye fell to Marfo 3-6, 0-6.
At second singles, Bella Barton lost to Rope 6-3, 4-6, 2-6, while Sophia Pulfer was defeated by Taylor 4-6, 7-5, 3-6 at third singles.
Bellefontaine will look to bounce back Thursday when the Chieftains host Tecumseh.
