The Bellefontaine girls tennis team improved to 2-0 on the season on Friday with a 3-2 victory over Milton Union.
The Chieftains picked up two straight-set wins in singles play. At first singles, Mia Brown defeated A. Twentier 6-2, 6-1, while Rylee Crabtree followed with a 6-3, 6-0 win over G. Laffen at second singles.
Bellefontaine also earned a win at third singles by forfeit.
Milton Union picked up wins in both doubles matches. At first doubles, Warye and Vasquez fell to Bobic and Hess 6-1, 6-2. At second doubles, Barton and Pulfer lost to Ammon and Noffsinger 6-1, 6-0.
The 3-2 victory moves Bellefontaine to 2-0 on the season as the Chieftains continue their early-season schedule.
