The Bellefontaine High School girls’ bowling team bowled Friday at the District tournament at Beaver VU Bowl and earned their way into the State championships next weekend.
The format was 3 regular games across 3 different pairs of lanes and 6 bakers with total pins deciding who would move on to bowl in the state championships.
Only the top 5 teams would move on. Bellefontaine placed 5th after the regular games and 5th after the 6 baker.
Their regular game score was 2709, and 1087 for the baker games.
Gracie Hood led with a 607 series, and Nevaeh LaFollette had a 582 series.
Chloe Heminger added a 558 series, Haylee Yelton a 544 series, and Avery Mullins added a 161 and a 144 game.
It was a great day to be a chieftain as this is the 3rd year in a row that the girls qualified for State and was one of their goals this season.
In first place was Butler with a series high 3949. In 2nd was Kettering Fairmont at 3831.
Northmont came in 3rd with 3830, and Beavercreek had 3806 for 4th before Bellefontaine’s 3796 fifth place finish.
