Bellefontaine Middle School Track Teams Place 4th and 6th at Home

The Bellefontaine Middle School Boys Track Team competed against 13 strong teams and many of the top athletes in the state at our home invite last night and finished in 4th place.

Athletes scoring were:

  • Caleb Sechrest – 200m Hurdles (1st), 200m (2nd), 100m (3rd) and also took home the invite’s Male MVP award scoring the most individual points out of all the males competing.
  • Dillon Jones – 200m (6th)
  • Landon Gerwels – 400m (4th)
  • Jack Wilson – 1600m (5th) and 800m (7th)
  • Cale Middlesworth – Pole Vault (5th)
  • Andrew Myers – Pole Vault (6th)
  • Maddox Marlen – Long Jump (6th)
  • Bryant Carter – Long Jump (8th)
  • Bentley Stewart – Shot Put (5th)
  • The 4x100m relay team of Caleb Lillard, Bryant Carter, Mason Phillips, and Kyson Collier took 4th
  • The 4x400m relay team of Caleb Lillard, Kyson Collier, Landon Rister, and Landon Gerwels took 5th

The BMS girls placed 6th in a very competitive meet at Acusport Stadium. Scoring for the Chiefs were:

  • Sloan Stolly: 100 hurdles (1st), 200 hurdles (3rd), long jump (8th)
  • Layla Davis: 400m (5th), 200m (6th)
  • Joy Fogan: shot put (8th) and Discus (5th)
  • 4×200 relay: Mia Brown, Arianna Rangel, Cameo Greene, and Davis (4th)
  • 4×400: Karsyn Newkirk, Kinley Dunn, Brown, Rangel (4th)
  • 4×800: Sophia Marker, Cece Reier, Blakely Vollrath, Newkirk (5th)

The team will travel to Ben Logan on Monday for the CBC Championships.
