Local high school girls’ golf teams were back on the course Tuesday, with Benjamin Logan and West Liberty-Salem competing in a quad match with South Eastern and Triad at Woodland Golf Course.
Bellefontaine 221, Tecumseh 246
The Bellefontaine Lady Chieftains also picked up a victory Tuesday, defeating Tecumseh 221-246.
Allison Myers led Bellefontaine with a 52, followed by Paxton Stewart with a 53 and Olivia Dearwester with a 56. Ella Fultz rounded out the team score with a 60.
Bellefontaine will return to action Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. against Kenton Ridge at The Elks Golf Course.
Benjamin Logan 209, West Liberty-Salem 239, South Eastern 250
Benjamin Logan picked up the team victory with a 209, finishing ahead of West Liberty-Salem’s 239 and South Eastern’s 250. Triad did not have enough golfers to record a team score.
The Lady Raiders were led by Leah Braddock, who shot a 49, followed by Catherine Bramlage with a 50 and Sophia “River” VanVoorhis with a 53. Kaylynn Crumm added a 57 to round out Benjamin Logan’s team score.
Annika Schmidt shot a 59, while Montana Coleman carded a 67. Kaydence Hamlin finished with a 69, followed by Alayna Johnson with a 74, Elizabeth Bramlage with a 77 and Laurel Smith with a 79.
The Lady Raiders will return to action Tuesday against North Union at Marion Country Club.
West Liberty-Salem finished second with a 239, led by Grace Jones and Emma Cole, who each shot a 58. Kate Bolton added a 61, while Ava Martin finished with a 62.
The Lady Tigers will return to action Tuesday, September 8, at the Ohio Heritage Conference Girls Tournament at Springfield Elks Golf Course.
Northwestern 203, Indian Lake 209
Indian Lake fell just short Tuesday at Reid Park, losing to Northwestern 209-203.
Chloe Borgerding led the Lady Lakers with a 51, followed by Terra Beltz with a 52. Adriana Andrus and Lily Michael each shot 53 to round out the team score.
Indian Lake will return to action Saturday, September 5, at the Kris Myers Memorial at Liberty Hills Golf Course in Bellefontaine. Tee time is scheduled for 10:45 a.m.
