The Bellefontaine boys and girls soccer teams took on Piqua Friday.
On the boys side of things, they ended their match with a 2-2 tie.
Dominic Latimer had a PK goal in the first half and Caleb Torsell finished a beautiful chip shot over the keeper to make the game 2-0 in the first half.
Piqua made a comeback in the second half with a cross and header finish on goal, then was awarded 2 PK opportunities with only 1 goal being scored from the spot.
Noah Torsell finished the night with 12 saves, including a critical PK save that was influential in the outcome of the game.
Noah Torsell was selected Man of the Match for his performance on the pitch.
The ladies defeated Piqua 7-1.
Scoring for the Chiefs was Callie Shumaker with 5 goals. Shumaker ties the school record with 5 goals in a game. She now shares the record with her two older sisters, Caitlyn & Carmen Shumaker, as well as Regan Price.
Parker Penhorwood scored 2 goals for the Chiefs.
Assists were added by Ellie Mitchell and Ava Watson.
The Chiefs next game is Tuesday night at 7:30 PM at Acusport Stadium against West Liberty-Salem.
