Bellefontaine Tennis Beats Cedarville

The Bellefontaine tennis team traveled south for a rare evening matchup with the Cedarville Indians.

The Chiefs used their Sectional lineup Wednesday night as tourney prep and came out victorious by a score of 4-1.

  • 1st Singles Xavier Sims(B) defeated Ben Arnold 6-3,6-3
  • 2nd Singles Max Fissel(B) defeated Luke Wallis 5-7,6-4,10-8(TB)
  • 3rd Singles Jack Johnson(C) defeated Quinn Slagle 0-6,2-6
  • 1st Doubles Truman Howell/Trey Taylor(B) defeated James Brooks/Luke Bowman 6-1,6-2
  • 2nd Doubles Elias Abrego/Bryce Harris(B) defeated Isaiah Dewitt/Ryan Reed 6-3,6-0

The Bellefontaine netters remain 8-2 in the CBC and move to 10-3 overall.

The Chiefs will host the scrappy Red Raiders on Thursday night at the Chieftain Tennis Complex at 4:30.

The JV tennis team lost a very close match to Cedarville by a score of 2-3.

The loss brings their season record to 4 wins and 4 losses.

  • 1st Singles Lane Howard lost a hard-fought match 2-6, 5-7
  • 2nd Singles Noah Torsell won a pro-set 8-3
  • 3rd Singles Jeff Smith won 6-1, 6-3
  • 1st Doubles Murray and Patel fell 1-6, 5-7

Bellefontaine forfeited 2nd Doubles for the winning point.

Brandon Studnicki lost in consolation 0-8.

The Chiefs are back in action Thursday in London.
