Bellefontaine, Triad, and Indian Lake fall Wednesday night

Wednesday night, the Lady Chieftains varsity basketball team lost to North Union, 53-51.

Leading Bellefontaine was Quinlan Zedeker with 17 points.

Laila Butler added 10 points and 9 rebounds, Tiffany Boop contributed 7 points and 5 rebounds, and Rylie Reames chipped in 6 points.

The JV Lady Chieftains won their game 49-32.

Emma Whitaker led the team with 13 points, Hailee Lamb added 10 points, and Richiona Burnell scored 9 points.

The Chieftains will be on the road this Saturday in London.

The Triad girls basketball team played at Mechanicsburg in a Varsity-only game and lost 56-19.

Jazz Ford led Triad with 11 points, while Abbey Overfield contributed 4 points and 9 rebounds.

Mia LeMay grabbed 8 rebounds, and Bre Parsons added 7.

Triad’s record is now (3-13) (2-10).

They will play at Northeastern on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.

The Indian Lake girls team fought back from a first-half deficit but lost to Jonathan Alder, 40-35, in overtime.

Kennedy Schwaderer led the Lakers with 15 points and 5 steals, while Carly Strayer added 11 points and 3 steals.

Mackenzie Dixon scored 4 points, Rya Pequignot had 3 points, and Courtney Altstaetter contributed 2 points.

The Indian Lake JV team won 32-27, with Terra Beltz leading the way with 12 points, Haley Metzger scoring 8 points and adding 3 assists, and Chloe Borgerding grabbing 8 rebounds.

 

The Benjamin Logan Lady Raiders traveled to London Wednesday night.

The JV Raiders lost 47-26. Aubrey Harris had 10 points, Miley Buettner had 5 points, and Kaylee Oglesbee had 4 points. The JV girls move to 9-4 on the season.

The Varsity Raiders lost 56-26. Adilynne Gregg led the Raiders with 10 points and 17 rebounds, Lahna Cook had 4 points, and Kylie Harner, Elliott Butler, and Daylin Varner all had 3 points each. The varsity girls moved to 1-13 on the season.

Both teams take on Northwestern Saturday night at home with tip-off at 6:00 pm with the JV game.
