The Bellefontaine Chiefs secured a decisive 3-1 victory over Kenton on Monday night with set scores of 25-18, 23-25, 25-16, and 25-12. Taylor Banta led the charge with an impressive performance, recording 23 kills, 12 digs, and 2 aces. Gabbe Hoon added 6 kills and 4 blocks, while Kelsie Snapp contributed 21 kills and 15 digs. Ava Campbell, Ava Layman, and Madi Zedeker also played key roles. Zedeker notched 52 assists, 6 digs, and was perfect in serving with 3 aces. The Chiefs, now 2-1 for the season, showcased a strong all-around game and are set to continue their momentum.
JV Red Volleyball
The JV Red Chieftains also had a successful night, winning their match in two sets with scores of 25-20, 25-20. Arianna Rangel led with perfect serving, going 15/15, and added 7 digs, 2 kills, and a block. Kaeleigh Flora contributed 10 kills and 7 digs, while Ava Oppy and Jillian Ullom provided strong defensive performances with 20 and 11 digs, respectively. Presley Vigansky added 11 assists, 4 kills, and 6 digs, and Zoey Conner made a significant impact with 6 kills and 5 digs.
JV Black Volleyball
The JV Black Chieftains faced a tough match and fell in two sets, 21-25 and 20-25. Brooklyne Kuntz led the team with 5 kills and an ace, while Arianna Rangel added 4 kills and was perfect in serving with 3 aces. Lyla Conner contributed 5 digs and 5 assists, and Celine Blinn added 9 digs and perfect serving.
