The Bellefontaine Youth Junior Varsity (JV) and Varsity football teams both secured impressive victories in their first playoff games at home, earning a spot in the upcoming Championships next Sunday.
In the JV match, the Chiefs showcased a strong offensive performance, led by Cam Hairston, who scored three touchdowns.
The defense, anchored by Isiah Dixon and Sawyer Rutherford, held their opponents to just six points, culminating in a 19-6 victory for the JV team.
On the Varsity side, Jax Fleming and Tovan Benton emerged as standout players, each contributing multiple touchdowns to the team’s success.
The defense was equally formidable, with Caleb Palmer, Tovan Benton, Brentlee Bach, Jack Fissell, and Jax Fleming making crucial plays to limit the opposition’s scoring.
The Varsity Chiefs dominated their game, winning 33-6.
Both teams are now set to compete for the Little Miami Valley League Championship next Sunday, with the location yet to be determined.
