Bellefontaine senior football standout Carter Caudill is being recognized for excellence both on the field and in the classroom.

Caudill has been named Academic All-Ohio by the Ohio High School Football Coaches Association, an honor reserved for student-athletes who combine strong academic achievement with meaningful on-field contributions. To qualify, players must maintain at least a 3.6 grade point average while playing a significant role for their team.

A two-way standout for the Chiefs, Caudill made his mark at running back and linebacker, providing leadership and production on both sides of the ball. His senior season was cut short, however, after he suffered a season-ending injury in Week 6 against Kenton Ridge.

Despite the setback, Caudill has his sights set on continuing his football career at the next level.

Carter is the son of Art and Kelly Caudill. He was one of 273 players statewide selected to the Academic All-Ohio Football Team, placing him among the top student-athletes in Ohio.
