Bellefontaine’s Kelsey Snapp qualifies to State in Shot Put – Regional Prelim Results

Area Track and Field teams competed in the OHSAA Division II Regional Prelims at Piqua High School Thursday evening.

Indian Lake competed at the Regional Prelims.

The 4×200 relay team of Reece Martin, Jalan Martin, Addison Beck, and Elayna Richardson qualified to finals with a time of 1:48.12.

Elayna Richardson qualified to finals in the 400 m dash with a time of 1:00.94 and the 200 m dash with a time of 25.95.

Brant Parsell qualified to finals in the 300 m hurdles in a time of 41.21.

The girl’s 4×400 team of Elayna Richardson, Reece Martin, Reagan Rash, and Cameron Finfrock finished 13th in 4:22 and did not advance.

On Saturday, the top four finishers will advance to the Division II State Championships.

 

Benjamin Logan also competed.

The Lady Raiders opened the Regional Championships with 10 athletes in 10 events.

High Jump – 7th place – Isabel Henderson (5-00), final result.

4×800 Relay – 11th place – (10:41.55), final result. (Mylee Boysel, Estella Wenger, Lexi Archer, Georgia Bates)

100 High Hurdles – 9th place – Kate Gulick (16.55).

100 Dash – 4th place – Isabel Henderson (12.54 *BL Record) Qualified to Saturday finals. Isabel broke the 100-meter school record of (12.60) set by Tracy Todd in 1994.

4×200 Relay – 16th place (1:54.96) (Ella Chamberlin, Mya Burrey, Macy Matthews, Hannah White)

4×100 Relay – 16th place (53.45) (Kate Gulick, Mya Burrey, Macy Matthews, Hannah White)

300 Low Hurdles – 8th place – Kate Gulick (48.35), Qualified to Saturday Finals.

200 Dash – 2nd place – Isabel Henderson (25.71 *BL Record) Qualified to Saturday Finals. Isabel broke her own school record of (26.06) which was set at the WL-S Invitational.

For the Benjamin Logan boys, the Raiders had two placers from the Field Event Finals.

Senior Trevor Berry set a new PR by jumping 21’ in the long jump and finished 8th.

Freshman Carter Daniels tied his season PR by clearing 12’6” in the pole vault to also finish 8th.

Senior Yale Scheiderer ran a 15.90 in the 110H to qualify for the finals on Saturday.

The 4×1, 4×2, and 4×4 relay teams with members Hunter Lattimer, Sam Whitten, Ben Chamberlain, Dylan Vance, Berry, and Scheiderer competed but did not qualify for Saturday’s finals.

Trevor Berry will throw in the shot put finals and Yale Scheiderer will run in the 110H finals on Saturday.

The meet will continue on Saturday with the field events beginning at 11:00 and running to begin at 12:30.
