Benjamin Logan 7th grade girls advance to CBC final; 8th grade season ends

The Benjamin Logan 7th grade girls basketball team won 34-12 over North Union in their semifinal game on Thursday night.

With the win, they move on to face Jonathan Alder in the CBC tournament championship on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at Urbana Middle School.

The team improves to 16-1 on the season.

Leading the way for the Lady Raiders were Addy Leonard and Michaelee Hoge, both scoring 11 points.

Hoge also contributed 14 rebounds, 2 blocks, and 1 assist, while Leonard added 6 steals, 2 rebounds, and 2 assists.

Mica Coaty and Maci Stafford each had 5 points.

Coaty added 6 rebounds and a steal, while Stafford contributed 3 steals and 2 assists.

Marley Ledesma had 2 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 block, Kennedy Hannah added 2 points and 1 rebound, and Julianna Chapman grabbed 3 rebounds and 1 steal.

The Benjamin Logan 8th grade girls basketball team fought hard but fell short against London 40-25.

They finish the season with a record of 13-4.

Brielle Kline led the team with 10 points, 2 rebounds, and 2 steals.

Marley Shields contributed 9 points, 8 rebounds, and 1 steal.

Paislee Rodenberger had 2 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 block, while Jozie Taylor added 2 points, 4 steals, and 2 rebounds.

Olivia Titus finished with 2 points and 1 rebound, and Hayden McCoy contributed 5 rebounds.
