The Ben Logan 8th grade football team opened its season on a strong note Thursday night, rolling past the visiting Kenton Ridge Cougars 44-14.
The Raiders were strong on both sides of the ball, with the defense consistently putting pressure on Kenton Ridge. Ben Logan recorded 36 total tackles, including six tackles for loss, while Obi Fahle came up with two interceptions.
The Raiders’ offense was led by a pair of standout rushing performances. Carter Crumm rushed for 231 yards on 12 carries and found the end zone three times. Crumm also converted two two-point attempts.
Brayden Ramos added 120 rushing yards on just five carries and scored three touchdowns. Ramos also contributed 36 yards on punt returns.
Archer Stratton led the Raiders through the air, recording two receptions for 11 yards while also converting a pair of two-point attempts.
After the convincing season-opening victory, Ben Logan will look to keep the momentum going when the Raiders host Tecumseh next Thursday, September 3.
