Benjamin Logan girls earn second win, boys battle to draw in Tuesday soccer results

The Benjamin Logan soccer teams continued their strong starts to the 2026 season Tuesday night, with the Lady Raiders rallying for a 3-1 win over Kenton while the boys battled back twice to earn a 2-2 draw with the Wildcats.

The Benjamin Logan girls soccer team rallied from an early second-half deficit to defeat Kenton 3-1 Tuesday night, earning its second straight victory to open the season.

After a scoreless first half, Kenton struck five minutes into the second half on a free kick to take a 1-0 lead.

The deficit quickly woke up the Raiders, who answered just minutes later when Paislee Rodenberger found the back of the net off an assist from Ella Stoodt to even the match.

Benjamin Logan then took the lead when Daylin Varner scored on a misplayed ball by the Kenton defense. Varner added her second goal of the night with 14 minutes remaining, connecting on a free kick just outside the box to give the Raiders the 3-1 victory.

The win gives Benjamin Logan back-to-back victories on consecutive nights to begin the season.

The Raiders will play their home opener Monday at 7:30 p.m. against Jonathan Alder.

Benjamin Logan Boys Soccer 2, Kenton 2

The Benjamin Logan boys soccer team battled back from a deficit twice Tuesday night, finishing with a 2-2 draw against Kenton.

Luke Vessely got the Raiders on the scoreboard in the first half, scoring off an assist from Santiago Solano.

Kenton answered to tie the match before the Wildcats again took a lead in the second half. Benjamin Logan responded once more, with Xavier Allen finding the back of the net off an assist from Cason Lacher to secure the 2-2 draw.

Gavin Jordan and Carter Phillips both saw time in goal for the Raiders as the team dealt with illness affecting players on and off the field.

Benjamin Logan moves to 1-0-2 on the season and will host Jonathan Alder Monday at 5:30 p.m.
