Benjamin Logan Middle School volleyball teams delivered strong performances Tuesday evening, earning victories over visiting Northwestern in front of a supportive home crowd.
The 7th-grade Lady Raiders came out focused and energetic, defeating Northwestern in straight sets, 25-17 and 25-19. Their intensity and teamwork set the tone early, leading to a confident win.
In a back-and-forth battle, the 8th-grade team edged out Northwestern in three competitive sets, 25-22, 19-25, 25-17. Clutch plays in the final set and strong serving helped secure the victory.
The Lady Raiders recorded 17 kills, 16 assists, 15 aces, and 8 digs, showcasing a balanced team effort on both offense and defense.
West Liberty-Salem’s volleyball teams closed out the regular season in impressive fashion, sweeping West Jefferson in both the 7th and 8th grade matches.
The 7th-grade Lady Tigers ended their season on a high note with a dominant 25-13, 25-11 victory over West Jefferson. Their strong serving and defense were key contributors, as the team totaled 13 kills, 17 aces, 13 assists, and 23 digs. The win capped off a solid season, bringing their overall record to 8-10 and their OHC record to 8-8.
The 8th-grade team continued their strong season with a commanding 25-14, 25-17 win. With 17 kills, 15 aces, 16 assists, and 29 digs, the Lady Tigers delivered one of their most complete performances of the year. The victory boosts their record to an impressive 16-2 overall, securing the #1 seed in the OHC Tournament.
