The Benjamin Logan Middle School football teams took the field Thursday night against the Graham Falcons, with both the 7th and 8th grade squads earning strong results.
The 8th grade Raiders improved to 4-2-1 on the season with an impressive 30-12 victory over Graham.
Quarterback Luke Long led the way through the air, completing 4 of 5 passes for 91 yards and a touchdown. His top targets were Anson Nichols and Owen Marshall. Nichols caught 3 passes for 67 yards and a touchdown, while Marshall added one reception for 24 yards.
On the ground, the Raiders’ rushing attack was dominant. Nevada Coleman powered the offense with 10 carries for 136 yards and 2 touchdowns. Brayden Sims contributed 56 yards on 7 carries to round out the balanced offensive effort.
Defensively, Quinn Kuba anchored the unit with 8 tackles, including 3 for losses. Anson Nichols added 5 tackles to the strong performance.
In the 7th grade contest, the Raiders took part in a fifth quarter matchup against the Falcons and came away with a 12-0 shutout victory.
Both Benjamin Logan teams will return to action next Thursday to wrap up their seasons against Northwestern. Fans are encouraged to come out and support the Raiders as they close out a successful year.
