Benjamin Logan Middle School Volleyball Teams Shine Against Shawnee

The Benjamin Logan Raiders’ 7th and 8th-grade volleyball teams showcased impressive performances in their matches against Springfield Shawnee, securing decisive victories in both contests.

The 7th-grade team dominated the court, winning in two sets with scores of 25-9 and 25-6. Michaelee Hoge led the charge offensively, contributing an outstanding 9 aces and 3 kills. Della Baker supported with 8 aces, while Maci Stafford added 4 aces and Molly Titlow chipped in with 3 aces. Additionally, Mica Coaty, Amelia Marmon, and Mileigh Carroll each contributed a kill, solidifying the team’s strong performance.

In the 8th-grade matchup, the Raiders continued their winning streak, defeating Shawnee in two sets, 25-16 and 25-11. Maddie Stahl served impressively, scoring 8 points with 4 aces. Summer Cline was a standout player, racking up 14 kills and 2 aces. Brielle Kline and Marley Shields also made significant contributions, each tallying 5 kills, with Marley serving 6 points. Alivia James further bolstered the team by serving 9 points, including 2 aces.

Looking ahead, both teams are set to compete against Bellefontaine this Saturday at 11 AM in the first round of the CBC tournament, where they hope to build on their recent successes.
