The Benjamin Logan Robotic Club hosted its inaugural FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) scrimmage on Thursday.
The club hosted 6 other schools from as far away as Toledo and Cincinnati.
9 robots participated in the scrimmage.
Benjamin Logan has two robot teams this year – another first for the team.
This year’s FTC arts-themed game involved building robots that can pick up plastic “pixels” and place them on a backdrop.
Other parts of the game involve shooting “drones” (paper airplanes) and having the robot hang from rigging.
The scrimmage was made possible through the generous support of Byers Auto, a longtime sponsor of the robotics club.
Teams were also entertained by the high school Quiz Bowl team, who challenged them to trivia between matches.
The robotics teams will be back in action the first weekend of February for the Miami University qualifying tournament.
