The Bellefontaine High School cheerleading team is among the best in Ohio.
The Chiefs finished state runner-up at the OAC State Cheer competition at Marysville on Sunday. Indian Lake edged Bellefontaine by half a point.
There are four divisions at the state meet – traditional (tumbling, jumping, and dancing), traditional non-building (tumbling, cheer, and dance), building (tumbling, cheer, and dance), and game day (cheers and fight song).
BHS competed in the traditional non-building middle-size school division.
