BHS falls; Raiders, Lakers, Pirates pick up wins – Tuesday Varsity and MS volleyball scores

Local volleyball teams took to the court Tuesday.

The Bellefontaine varsity team fell to Jonathan Alder in straight sets:18-25, 18-25, and 22-25.

Lily Palmer had 12 assists, which put her over 1000 assists for her career, 5 digs, and was 11/12 serving.

Kelsie Snapp added 10 kills, 9 digs, and went 10/10 serving.

Ava Campbell added 6 blocks, and Olivia Ullom had 4 blocks with perfect serving 12/12.

Latoya Rogan added 19 digs and was 7/7 serving.

Taylor Banta added 9 kills. Madi Zedeker added 9 assists and was 7/7 serving.

Reagan Standley tallied 6 digs.

Perri Neeld added 3 kills and 3 blocks.

Delmary Zayas-Colon had 3 blocks.

Bellefontaine Volleyball team

The Chiefs are now 5-2 on the season and 0-1 in the conference.

The Chieftain JV Red lost in straight sets: 17-25 and 22-25.

Alexza Clifton was 8/8 serving, with 3 aces, 3 kills, and 10 digs.

Zoey Lavender added 8 digs.

Ariana Young had 5 digs, 2 aces, and 6 assists.

Mekenzie Flora added 4 digs.

Kaeleigh Flora also added 4 digs.

The JV Red team falls to 5-2 on the season.

Bellefontaine’s JV Black team also came up short in straight sets: 10-25, 15-25.

Zoey Conner tallied 5 digs, 2 kills, and 2 aces.

Zoey Lavender had 3 digs, perfect serving, and 2 kills.

Kaeleigh Flora added 2 kills and perfect serving.

Maddie Ullom added 2 aces.

Kylee Boggs tallied 7 assists.

The JV Black team moves to 1-2 on the season.

Bellefontaine will host Tecumseh Thursday. The JV will start at 5:30 p.m.

Raiders varsity volleyball team

The Benjamin Logan varsity team defeated Graham in four sets: 25-23, 12-25, 25-21, 25-20.

Mia Stahler finished the game with 25 digs and Makayla Williamson had 13 kills.

The Raiders travel to take on Indian Lake on Thursday.

The Indian Lake varsity team defeated North Union in straight sets: 25-18, 25-21, 26-16.

Ally Kinney was 17/19 serving, 2 aces, 5 kills, 3 solo blocks, and 2 block assists

Madison Brentlinger had 11 kills, 1 block assist, and 10 digs.

Devin Rice had 1 solo block, 2 block assists, and 9 kills.

Halle Roby had 1 solo block, 1 block assist, 4 kills, 7 digs, 15/15 serving, and 26 assists.

Katie Roby was 17/17 serve receive and had 24 digs.

Megan Kimbler had 12 digs.

The Lakers are 5-2 overall and 1-0 CBC.

The JV Lakers lost to North Union in straight sets: 20-25, 17-25.

Alex Kinney was 3/3 serving, 9/11 hitting, 2 kills, 25/26 setting, 5 assists

Addison Beck was 4/6 serving with 2 aces, 4/5 serve receive, and 7 digs

Makenna Hurley was 9/9 serving with 2 aces, 15/18 setting, 8/10 hitting, 2 kills, and 3 digs

Annie Rapp was 6/7 serving, 4/4 hitting, 11/12 serve receive with 5 perfect and 6 digs

Riley Ross was 5/5 serving, 22/23 serve receive with 14 perfect, and 14 digs

Gillian Taylor was 7/7 hitting with 2 kills

Cambrie Warnecke was 4/5 hitting with 3 kills.

The Riverside varsity team beat Troy Christian in straight sets: 25-12, 25-17, 25-19.

Middle School

The Bellefontaine 7th grade volleyball team fell to Bunsold in straight sets: 15-25, 12-25.

Ava Oppy recorded 4 aces, 2 kills, and 2 assists.

Kinley Dunn added a kill from Laney Storm’s assist.

Brooklyne Kunze chipped in with a dig.

The Lady Chiefs 8th-grade team beat Bunsold in three sets: 25-16, 23-25, 25-23.

Ava Layman led the aggressive offensive attack with 7 kills an ace and a dig.

Presley Vigansky recorded 6 kills, 13 assists, 4 aces, and a block.

Emma Whitaker came though with 5 kills, 4 aces, and a block.

Jillian Ullom charted 2 kills, 7 assists, and 6 aces.

Riverside’s 7th-grade team beat Lehman Catholic in straight sets: 25-14 and 25-15.

The leading scorers were Kenzie Stotler with 13 points and 5 aces, Molly Carman tallied 11 points and 9 aces, Abigail Strayer recorded 3 points with an ace and a kill, Addison Shoe chipped in with 2 points, and Valerie Knight had 3 kills.

The Lady Pirates 8th grade team lost to Lehman Catholic in straight sets: 18-25, 17-25.

Kenna Johnson had 5 points, 4 aces

Keira Manahan had 2 points

Riverside will travel to play Miami East Thursday.
