The Bellefontaine varsity girls tennis team edged past Sidney 3-2 Wednesday.
In the first singles, Julia Easton defeated Alyssa Echols 6-4, 6-1.
Jenna Snyder fell to Cierra Mullenix in three matches 6-2, 5-7, 6-4
In the third singles, Arrisa Carver lost to Desarae Miller 6-0, 6-0.
The first doubles team of Kinsley Scott and Savannah Sheeley beat Cecelia Klinger and Breanna Mullenix 6-1, 6-3.
Securing the win for the Lady Chiefs were Maria Machado and Emma Merrin in second doubles. They defeated Ava Graver and Dhruvi Patel 4-6, 7-6 (7-5), 7-6 (7-5).
Bellefontaine moves to 1-1 on the season.
The Lady Chiefs will host Kettering Fairmont Monday, August 15th at 4:30.
