Two area softball teams competed Tuesday evening.
The Benjamin Logan JV Lady Raiders scored more runs than the Springfield Shawnee Braves JV, taking victory to the tune of 8-3.
Sidney Sallee pitched the Raiders to victory. The righty went four innings, allowing one run on five hits, striking out four, and walking one.
Adilynne Gregg threw three innings in relief out of the bullpen striking out four.
The JV Raiders collected 11 hits total. Keeli Rostorfer and Kelsey Chambers each managed two hits to lead the Benjamin Logan Lady Raiders offense.
The JV Lady Raiders end their season 13-3 overall.
The Lady Chiefs beat Northwestern at home in tournament play 10-3.
The battery of Averie Vigansky (pitcher) and Aubrey Hudson (catcher) recorded 8 strikeouts.
Offensively Alexza Clifton went 2-4 with a triple, Ellie Mitchell had a triple, and Averie Vigansky added a double.
The Lady Chiefs are back in action Thursday at Benjamin Logan.
