BL squads open bowling season against Shawnee

High school bowling teams across the region continued early-season matchups Wednesday, with Benjamin Logan opening its boys’ and girls’ seasons against Shawnee. The Raiders entered the new year with fresh faces on the boys’ side as they begin their quest to defend last season’s Division II state championship. At the same time, the Lady Raiders rolled to an impressive season-opening victory at TP Lanes.

VARSITY BOYS — Shawnee 2711, Benjamin Logan 2599

Benjamin Logan began a new era Wednesday night, fielding a rebuilt roster after graduating four standout seniors from last year’s title run. With many new faces stepping into varsity roles, the Raiders came up short 2711–2599 but gained valuable experience as they launch their state title defense.

Dylan Stewart led the varsity squad with a strong 244–200 (444) series. He was followed by:

Benjamin Logan rolled to a dominant JV win, with Shawnee entering only two bowlers.

The Lady Raiders opened their season in strong fashion, defeating Shawnee 2152–1635 at TP Lanes.

Kaelyn Corwin paced the team with a 185–193 (378) series, while:
