BLMS Girls and BMS Boys Earn Champions at CBC Meet

Area track teams competed in the CBC Middle School Championships Track Meet Monday evening in Bellefontaine.

The Benjamin Logan Middle School Girls won the CBC meet to cap off a fantastic season.

The ladies won the meet of 12 teams scoring 124 points, scoring for the ladies is as follows:

The boys also competed in the CBC meet finishing 9th in the field of 12.

The Bellefontaine Middle School Boys Track Team finished their season by winning the CBC league, beating 2nd place London 122 to 99.

Athletes placing were:

Brandon Wong – 4th in the 110m Hurdles and 6th in the 200m Hurdles

Nic Orozco – 5th in the 110m Hurdles

Maddox Miller – 3rd in the 100m Dash and 4th in the 200m Hurdles

Krue Brandy – 7th in the 100m Dash, 3rd in the 400m Dash, and 7th in the 200m Dash

Jake Moreland – 3rd in the 1600m Run and 6th in the 800m Run

Oliver Grandstaff – 4th in the 1600m Run, 4th in the 800m Run and 4th in Discus

Spencer Stolly – 1st in Long Jump and 3rd in the 200m Dash

Jordan Reed – 3rd in High Jump

Lincoln Banta – 5th in Long Jump

Alex Sandoval – 3rd in Shot Put

The 4x800m team of Maddox Marlen, Will Myers, Landon Gerwels, and Tristyn Wilson took 2nd with a School record time of 10:04.51

The 4x200m team of Blake Loomis, CJ Butler, Ethan Turner, and Spencer Stolly took 1st.

The 4x100m team of Caleb Seachrest, CJ Butler, Ethan Turner, and Maddox Miller took 1st.

The 4x400m team of Jordan Reed, Lincoln Banta, Ethan Turner, and Tristyn Wilson took 4th.

The Bellefontaine Middle School Girls’ Track Team finished in 3rd place behind Benjamin Logan and London.

Jillian Ullom: 100 (7th), 200 (4th), 400 (5th)

Ava Layman: Long Jump (7th)

Emma Whitaker: Discus (4th), Shot Put (7th)

Ella Fultz: Discus (8th)

4×100: Jaylinn Foulk, Brokklyn Kuntz, Ava Layman, Arianna Rangel Guillen (7th)

4×200: Karsyn Newkirk, Alexis Varian, Foulk, Layman (5th)

4×400: Stolly, Varian, Rangel Guillen, Newkirk (2nd)

4×800: Rylee Yelton, Hannah Wilson, Camila Cely Hernandez, Newkirk (5th)

 

Graham Middle School also participated in the meet.

The top placer for the girls was Leila Konicki in fourth in the high jump (4-4).

The boys finished fourth out of twelve teams and first in the Mad River Division.

For the boys, medaling in second place was Dylan Clem in the long jump (16-5.75), Sully Uhl in the 110-meter hurdles (18.24), and the 200-meter hurdles (school record time of 28.82) and the 4×400 meter relay team of Jesse Jenkins, Clem, Haden Lehman, and Jaxon Bowman placing third (4:07.18).
