BLMS Sweeps Springfield Shawnee; BMS Takes on Tecumseh

The Benjamin Logan Lady middle school volleyball team swept Springfield Shawnee

The 7th grade team won in 2, 25-13 and 25-16.

The Raiders were led by Marley Shields and Summer Cline from the service line.

 

The 8th grade team won in 2, 25-15 and 25-15.

Kill leaders for the Raiders were Georgia Daniels with 5 kills and Nevaeh Fogle with 3 kills.

From the service line, Bella Hughes scored 7 points and 5 aces followed by Navaeh Fogle with 6 points and Leah Hawley with 4 points.

 

The Lady Raiders play again tomorrow at home against Bellefontaine, the 7th-grade team will play at 5:30 and the 8th-grade will begin directly after.

The 8th Lady Chiefs fought till the end but came up short against Tecumseh.

Lyla Connor scored 13 points serving with 5 aces.

Brooklyne Kuntz added 10 points serving with 2 aces and also had 4 kills.

Arianna Rangel added 8 points serving 3 aces and one kill.

Ava Oppy had 7 assists and 5 kills.

Zalaney Storm had 7 assists and 2 kills.

 

The Lady Chiefs seventh-grade volleyball team chalked up their first win of the season over Tecumseh in three sets.

The set scores were 25-19, 22-25, and 25-15.

The Chiefs offensive attack was led by Mia Brown who tallied 10 aces in the contest. She also compiled 3 assists and a kill.

Lexey Brown showed an aggressive net presence tallying 6 kills.

Madylin Jenkins had precise passes and chipped in with a kill.

Rosalie Lightle also contributed 4 aces, 2 kills, and an assist.

 

The Lady Chiefs are back in action Thursday night at Ben Logan at 5:30 PM.
