BMS runners set to compete in national meet

Three Bellefontaine Middle School runners will compete in the national cross country meet in Louisville, Kentucky, on Saturday morning.

Eighth-graders Grace Brown, Jake Moreland, and Oliver Grandstaff will cap their outstanding season in the championship races.

The girls’ race starts at 9:30. The boys’ race will follow at 10:10.

Last month, Brown repeated as the Division II Jr. High state champion.

She had the fastest time across all 3 divisions earning her the honor of Ohio’s Fastest Girl with a time of 11:31.

Brown finished her season undefeated.

Oliver Grandstaff

Moreland placed 4th at the state meet in a time of 11:07.

Grandstaff finished 16th at the state meet in a time of 11:33.
