BMS Volleyball Falls Short; WLS & RMS Win

The 8th-grade Bellefontaine Chiefs fell short in two very competitive matches.

The ladies battled till the end and made some good improvements.

Zaleny Storm scored 4 points, 5 assists, and 3 kills.

Brooklynn Kuntz scored 6 points and had 2 aces.

Ava Oppy scored 4 points serving, 2 kills, and 3 assists.

Lyla Connor scored 5 points and had 3 aces and 2 kills.

Airy Rangel added 2 kills and 3 digs.

The 7th-grade lady Chiefs continue to show improvement but lost in two sets to CBC front runners, North Union, 12-25, 21-25.

Lexey Brown sparked the offense with 5 kills, an ace, and a dig.

Addison Smith tacked on a kill, an ace, and a dig.

The backcourt featuring Madaline Barrett, Madylin Jenkins, and Lexi McKirahan, contributed solid passes combining for 9 digs.

 

The West Liberty- Salem 8th-grade Volleyball team defeated Springfield Catholic Central in straight sets: 25-13 & 25- 21.

Reagan Tester & Kylee Bell had 6 aces each. Britton Carter 8 digs and MaKayla Reams had 5 kills.

The Tigers are now 4-2.

The West Liberty Salem 7th-grade volleyball team beat Springfield Catholic Central in straight sets: 25-7 & 25-6.

Reese Winters and Kenna Wright were the top servers.

The Tigers are now 6-0.

 

The Riverside 7th-grade volleyball team hosted Miami East on a conference match-up Thursday evening.

Riverside came out with the victory in 3 sets 25-17, 11-25, and 25-12.

The team dedicated their victory to KK who is currently a Riverside senior battling osteosarcoma.

Leading scorers were:

Morgan Klingelhofer with 8pts with 2 aces and 1 kill.

Emma Pope with 7 points with 6 aces.

Ellie Zwiebel with 6 points with 2 aces and 2 kills.

Abigail Littlejohn with 6 points 2 aces and 1 block.

Eva Dodds with 4 points with 2 aces and 1 kill.

Madison Schindewolf added 1 point.

The 8th-grade volleyball team lost to Miami East in three sets: 17-25, 25-13 & 21-25.

Molly Carman had 11 points, 6 aces, and 5 kills.

Valerie Knight had 6 points, 2 aces, and 2 solo blocks.

Addison Shoe and Chloe Purtee each had 6 points.

Kenzie Stotler had 5 hits.
