Brown Leads Runners at Jim Murray Invitational

Bellefontaine’s Grace Brown ran her best race of the season to win the Jim Murray Invitational Saturday.

There were 199 runners in the race.

Brown beat her own school record with a personal best time of 18:27 to lead the Chiefs.

Brianne Sechrest also knocked 42 seconds off of her personal best time and broke the 22-minute barrier for the first time in her career.

Kailyn Newman, Ella Reier, and Zoey Rister all toughed out good races to round out the top 5 for the Chiefs.

The team placed 7th overall out of 24 competing teams.
